Made in Grimsby & Cleethorpes was created by a girl who learned to love the town she thought she hated.

Established in 2020…

Made in Grimsby & Cleethorpes C.I.C is a not-for-profit that began as a platform aimed at helping small local businesses to reach customers during lockdown.

Moving forward, the vision and values of Made in Grimsby & Cleethorpes C.I.C are:

  • To support small independent businesses in Grimsby and Cleethorpes across social media to help them reach a wider audience when the algorithms are against them.
  • Boost overall pride in being Grimbarian and/or Meggie through the sales of Made in Grimsby and Cleethorpes products.
  • One of the distinguishing values of Made in Grimsby & Cleethorpes C.I.C is our commitment to helping businesses and event organisers to create accessible spaces for individuals with anxiety. This is a compassionate and inclusive approach, recognising that not everyone faces the same challenges when it comes to participation. By prioritising accessibility, we create a welcoming environment for a wider range of people, promoting community engagement and wellbeing.

Frequent Questions

What happened to the Small Business Directory?

The Small Business Directory served a purpose during lockdown when businesses were struggling to connect with customers, however four years on, things have changed and moved on. So, it felt like time to wrap that side of MIG&C up, which in turn allows me to refocus my efforts towards helping small businesses in a different way that better aligns with what is important to me – anxiety.

How can Made in Grimsby & Cleethorpes support my small business?

I still share as much as I can across my social media accounts, and I intend to focus more energy towards writing blog posts relating to Grimsby, Cleethorpes and the amazing small businesses that are based here.
