Grimbarian Rambles: A Year Walking to Mordor

From 1st April 2025 to 31st March 2026, Chris and I are walking the distance from Bag End to Mordor – 1,779 miles – to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society. I’ll be sharing some of those walks, adventures, and probably a few disasters here on the blog as we go.

Most of our walks will be in and around Grimsby, Cleethorpes, and the Lincolnshire countryside, but we’ll be heading a bit further afield now and then for some mini-adventures too. Some walks will be easy, some will probably be absolute mud-baths; but every step will get us closer to Mount Doom (and, fingers crossed, raise some money for a very good cause).
