Divine Hands of Healing: Your Guide to Holistic Health and Reiki”

  • by

Well, it feels very weird to be writing an introductory blog post, but it really does feel good to have memberships back open with the launch of the new website. I am absolutely thrilled to be able to announce that the very first new member of the brand spanking new Made in Grimsby website is:

Divine Hands of Healing

I actually met Demi, the lady behind Divine Hands of Healing whilst we were on a Social Media course in late 2021, organised by E-Factor, so to have her as my first official new member is really exciting for me.

Demi is a holistic therapist, who specialises in both understanding and healing emotions, mind, body and soul.

Her journey began in 2014, when she sought ways to deal with her own anxiety and discovered reiki, which led her to becoming a fully qualified Reiki Master, now with more than six years experience.

What is Reiki?

I’m not going to lie, Reiki is a completely new concept to me, but I am incredibly keen to learn more about what people do especially when it is in areas that help other people. So, here is my basic knowledge…

The word Reiki derives from two Japanese words: Rei which means “Gods Wisdom”* and Kei which means “Life Force Energy”; so as you might have already guessed, it is a Japanese technique that is designed to reduce stress, boost relaxation and ultimately promote inner healing.

It is popular due to its simplicity and being a natural method of healing that is accessible to everyone who is interested in self-improvement, and it is believe to be effective alongside standard medical practices to help relieve side effects, whilst promoting overall recovery.

*How many Star Wars fans are now intrigued by the origins of Rei’s name….just me?
